Special Moments by the Living Room & Poolside
There are three Luxury Cottages in total.
Located right in front of Lake Biwa, these cottages feature large windows that offer breathtaking views of the lake. Sit on the sofa, enjoy a relaxing tea time, and simply watch the changing expressions of Lake Biwa as time passes. Even just that is enough to create elegant and luxurious moments.
Open the windows, and right there is a spacious private pool. In the warmer months, you can enjoy swimming while admiring the lake. Since Lake Biwa is right in front of you, it feels almost as if you’ve become one with the magnificent scenery.
During cooler seasons, sipping wine or beer by the poolside while relaxing is also highly recommended. At night, the surroundings become quiet, and if the weather is clear, you can gaze at the beautiful starry sky. It’s the perfect setting for a truly peaceful and special time.
There are also stairs from the pool deck leading directly to the lakeshore, so in the early morning, take a stroll along Lake Biwa and enjoy the sunrise.
Lakeside BBQ Space — Open and Refreshing
The BBQ area is located by the private pool with a lake view.
This roofed space, enclosed by transparent doors so you can still see the scenery, lets you fully enjoy your mealtime in an open, airy setting. In warmer seasons, open all the doors and savor the breeze from Lake Biwa while having a BBQ.
While the accommodation plan includes a room-only option where you can bring your own BBQ ingredients, why not try the facility’s special “Lake Biwa Glamping BBQ” for a truly luxurious dinner?
One highlight is a unique dish featuring “Baumkuchen Pork”, a special pork raised on Baumkuchen feed, served with colorful vegetables. You can also make custom spice blends at the on-site “Spice Lab” to pair perfectly with your meat, making the BBQ experience even more enjoyable.
Please note that drinks are not included in the Lake Biwa Glamping BBQ.
In the dining area, you’ll find a refrigerator, IH kitchen, electric kettle, as well as disposable chopsticks, paper cups, plates, knives, forks, and spoons, all available for use. BBQ grills are free to use if you choose a dinner-included plan; if you select the room-only plan, grills are available for rent for an additional fee.

As a spa resort, Lakeside Terrace Biwako is proud of its natural hot springs.
In the fully private space of the cottage, you can enjoy the hot spring baths any time, 24 hours a day, without worrying about other guests.
It’s also convenient to go straight from enjoying activities at the lake or pool directly to the hot springs afterward.

Each room comes with face towels, bath towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body soap.
Next to the front desk, there’s an amenities corner, where you can pick up additional items like room wear, soap, toothbrushes, hairbrushes, razors, and ladies’ sets. Feel free to select whatever you need during your stay.
